Your huge old bass drum for my 1930s Slingerland snare

Loading...

My 1930s Slingerland Universal for your huge, old bass drum. An even trade.

What I'm looking for:

Any US manufacturer from the 1950s or earlier is ok. Slingerland is my favorite.

24" - 28", with a minimum of extra holes, all hardware present, original natural finish on shell & hoops.

Tube lugs or single tension preferred. Open to others.

What you get:

1930s Slingerland Universal snare, 14x5, nickel over brass, six tube lugs. All original except for snare wires & heads. Those are new. A few of the rim clips were replaced with reproduction NOB clips identical to the originals.

Issues:

A couple of small dings. Some nickel worn off, as expected. There is some rust on the rims (as pictured) and the bottom end of one tube lug has a fine crack (as pictured). It does not affect the performance of the tension rod in the lug.

An imperfect, but perfectly playable classic snare for your equally imperfect bass drum. PM me
