A little late to the party, but if it really does weigh in at 5-5.5 pounds, that's a nice thin weight for a 23".

Six pounds exactly would be 2721g,. If that was the weight of a 22", it might be considered a median heavy cymbal. However, for a 23" cymbal I have no idea how much of the weight is a result of the extra inch.
