Yet another Blue Satin Flame kit

Loading...

http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/msg/418894174.html

This is local to me and a really nice looking kit. However, from what I have been reading on these forums, the price seems a bit high. I saw someone posted about an Apollo BSF last month that was like $130. I am gonna PM that guy as well to see if this kit is similar.

I been holding out for a Ludwig kit, just thought this looked really cool, and I'm looking for a players kit anyway.

Any educated opinions would be great.

Optimistically priced would be the polite term. Don't do it. For a few hundred (and not too many more) you could be getting a Ludwig - maybe not absolutely pristine but the real deal. Hang in there.

Cheers,

David

Make the guy an offer. The nice thing about Craigs is that its just a starting point. Most everything is up for negotiation...unlike the Bay. He even asks for offers in the add.

By the way, the kit looks recovered to me. The wrap is just too clean. Plus he says he had to put on new hoops and the hoop inlay seems to match the wrap exactly.

Thanks for the advice guys, it's much appreciated! I fought off the mesmerizing urges of the hypnotic blue satin glow! I've decided to stick it out and wait for a set of Ludwigs, I just think in the long run, my moneys better spent on the real deal.
