Very nice and I dig the Yammies. I played Yamaha drums for about ten years. Today I dropper the snare off at my friends place. He said that rattle can paint normally does not take clear coats well.

His recommended approach - epoxy primer, 2k primer and then top coat with a very close matching paint & clear. I brought my cherry acro along to show him the goal.

If he can't get it close then I will go for a very nice black finish and throw some brass hardware on it. Either way it will turn out cool.
