Yamaha SD 365ME Snare drum

Loading...

I just bought this 6.5x14 eight lug snare for $50. The thing is, I cannot find any info on it. When I do a google search, only Japanese websites come up. It clearly was made in Japan (see pic), but was this a snare that was not released in the U.S.? Does that make it good rare or bad rare? Has anyone owned one? I have to assume that it was a mid line snare because of the 8 lugs. I searched all of the available Yamaha catalogs and could not find any info. Using the dating method, this snare should come from 1982.

Thanks,

8-lug would be lower line (unless 13" diameter!)

Steel shell I assume? If it's round it's worth about $50 and probably sounds great.

Enjoy it and don't worry about the worth.
