yamaha rock tour custom

I don't know if these are quite vintage yet but they are rare and very good quality. Yamaha only made these for a few years. from what I understand they are very close to the recording customs in build quality. the main difference being mahogany is used in some of the middle layers. and the shell is wrapped in a resin sheath to add to projection. I will add a few picks of kit I picked up about 15 years ago used. i plan on restoring it soon. its been babied and led a pretty sheltered life so it should not be that hard.

Any other rtc's owners on here?

Hi Louse,I have a set of these.I got them new in 1980's.I used them alot on stage back then. The set i have is black. My set up was double bass too 14x24x2 or 14x26x2 the toms were 8,10,12,13,14,15 the floor toms were 16,18,20..The snare i used was a 8x14 brass shell snare. They are great sounding drums the only things i did not like much about them were the tom mounts, and all stands they just did not hold up to well..I replaced all this with Ludwig mounts and stands.....Mikey
