Yamaha Price Check

I know very little about vintage Yamaha drums. Can anyone give me some information and the value of this 14x22 Yamaha kick? Were these all birch shells? Thanks.

I don't think it's worth much, maybe, $150.

It's certainly a well made bass drum.. 10 lug would be the give away, but the "made in China" is throwing me off, because i believe pro line Yamaha drums were made in Japan. I also agree with Spartacus, the value of that particular vintage Yamaha bass drum can go for anywhere between $150-$300..It also probably wouldn't be too hard to find a matching floor and rack tom from the same era, although not in that finish, as it looks like it may have been refinished..

This drum looks like a YD9000 series bass drum, as your serial number indicates. All the info is on this link, including shell composition.. Hope this helps ;)

Yamaha's 9000 were mede in Taiwan fr a period too. Don't let you fooled by that.

Getting extra shells is not impossible since they pop up on ebay from time to time.

I think a pricing between 100-250 is fair.
