What kind of wood material is this?

The wood snare with chrome wrap was a separate purchase, it has the identical internal khaki paint job onside and the same wood grain.

The snare comes with some amazing die cast hoops the likes of which Ive not come across before.

The kit looks great but needs attention, if it is genuine, there are cosmetic hidden defects and the sound has possibly suffered by adding stuff to make it functional.

Only my initial worries ......I was imagining a more solid wood construction, I dont know what laun looks like, is this it?
