Hi all ...My first post ...Just got some yamaha drums from a pawn shop ...they sound great sizes are 20..16..13...using pinstipes on the toms ..playing blues and funk any sugestions or expierience with other heads? my other kit is rogers holiday WMP

Welcome aboard! We love to see pics of drums around here. You will probably have to resize them to within the Forum's restrictions. There are many free online sites where you can resize pics.

My recommendation for the Yamaha's would be Evans G1 clear on reso side and Evans G2 coated for batters. I'm using these currently on my Stewart kit and they sound pretty decent.

I want pictures! But those are like the Japanese Gretsch or something.. They're really nice drums, usually. How many lugs on the bass?
