Thinking about getting this Yamaha flying dragon single chain pedal, as a back up and alternative to my heavier DW3000.. I have tried this pedal before at a jam room and remembered that it was smooth, very light , and the uptake was great.. I believe they were considered pro pedals, as it states on the actual pedal heel plate, only with a single chain.. Also, at $50, it's a real bargain. I prefer to have a pedal that i can tweak to be slightly heavier if too light, rather than a heavy pedal that can't be made lighter, such as the DW3000.. Ever since my right ankle fracture 12 years ago,it "acts up" and gets sore every autumn and winter, which is why need something lighter in the first place..Thoughts on this pedal ?

I think it looks just great, [grabbed the pic from the ad], very cool design. Also, awhile ago I had a whole bunch of kick pedals, sold all but the cheaper version of this one you're thinking of buying. It's got the weaved strap, super simple, light-weight, nice action....love it!
That's a very good price as you say as well...

I agree..Simple is best..Although options are always great for tweaking your pedal, too much can be daunting..But less is more, i always say.. Just waiting for the seller to get back to me..Hoepfully it hasn't been sold yet !
Thanks Mitch

I love my Flying Dragon. It's edges out my DW5000 as my first choice for use.
