Great drums! I have a set but don't use them with two other recording custom kits. They are literally the grandfather of the recording custom. Their offspring was the 9000 and the 9000 offspring is the RC.

I bought this recently. It is a Rogers 380, but is really a Yamaha with the same finish that you have. The original snare was included as well.
That's the one. Very nice. Oddly, it seems the Rogers badged drums sell for less than the Yamaha badged drums. Same shells though

Thanks for that. That drum is a slightly different wrap and is from the lower line 200 series. It's close though. Note the different badges and lugs.
I have been using this kit a lot lately and I've grown to like the blue FT. Lately I've been wearing a red shirt and blue jeans on stage just to compliment it:)
Hahah Cool. I was off set, because your kit had metall hoops too, but it also has 8 lugs and the iron badge so its a D series kit indeed (probably with changed hoops)
