Sure bartw, I saw a beautiful one on the sonormuseum listings by someone in germany (cousaeu) but the site seems to be down and I applied for membership when it was up and have yet to hear from them - thanks so much

Hey Rims and Skins! went to hear some triton clips after reading your post - sound similar to the beech round bearing edges of the champions - something to keep in mind -either way I'm seeking a 4pcs (3 tom) kit - cheers!

I've been reading posts about vintage sonors and if I recall right one of the conclusions was that some "swingers" and "action" have similar shells, that is, thick, beech, round re-rings.

Swingers and actions pop up even more regularly than champions around here. I currently have an action on my attic, I bought it for 50 bucks, including original snare, hardware and some meinl roman-mark cymbals. It has the same shells. I would sell it to you, if I were not cutting it up for one of my projects. http://vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=49878
