Cuquito thanks for the great pictures of some very rare drums, I especially like the timbalitos. In the 90's I mentioned to Caly that I saw a set of his brass timbalons at a music shop in the Bronx and that they were pretty beat up. He asked if I bought them and I replied that I didn't. He then said that I should have since he only made 10 sets and stopped because the brass was too soft (even cascara caused dents). The set in the picture look great. Anyway, I took off to Bauer's and they were gone, bummer.
He made many of those set on order from customer only. The steel model were his best ones. I personally did not like the JCR timbales, I found that the metal was too thick and had to use 1/2 sticks to produce a quality sound. I sold the ones I had.
