I have a guy who does die cut vinyl one-offs for me all the time at a reasonable price. Send me a PM and I'll be happy to help out if that's the route you want to go. I've been meaning to get a couple of my own done, so it's no bother for me to bring another along.

it's really a pleasure to post on this forum, very good feeling and awesome replies ! thank you guys !

Anyway, I finally find a dealer near home and contact him to know if he makes vinyl cut and how it costs...

It turns out that I was in contact with this person few months ago, and help him to choose a mic for his acoustic guitar !

Then, he replies that he offers the sticker !

cheers

From GG Vintage

Made with "Laptop Skins" from Office Max and my color printer.

That's pretty cool. Did you print both colors on the vinyl sheet? Or was the vinyl sheet a gold or black color and you printed the other color on it? I have a shield I'd like to make and the logo is gold type with black outline. We have a pretty fancy color copier at work. So I'd like to try it.

I printed both colors (the "skins" come in white). The gold color is actually taken from a photo of my drums so it pretty closely matches the Gold Sparkle. Here's the actual layout I used. I carefully cut around the parts with an Xacto knife and straight edge.

That's really cool it came out excellent~! The gold sparkle photo worked really well I think. Clever idea. Thanks for the details I'm going to give it a try.

hi,

the Trowa restoring is progressing little by little. Head on the BD and logo are in place.

There're now the 6 original lugs on the front BD, it was tinkered with only 4.

I'm waiting for few parts from Mike, cymbal stand, hit-hat stand, matching screw, etc... I'm excited !

Anyway, I would like to know if a tune key exists for the tom lug ? and where I could find one.

Thanks

Phil

Hi Phil,

Great project !

What you need is a key for slotted head screws.

This type of key will do the job,...

thanks Stedi,

I didn't know this model still exist, I was afraid to search an old one... But if someone has an old one to match with the drums... ;)

Next step is completely disassemble tom and snare to polish and clean.

cheers
