Probably more of a collector's than player's thing, but a Victory Ludwig kit is for sale up here in the Northwest US for 5 bills...love the colors and wood hardware (with wood bass drum pedal!), and the bass drum art.
Wow! 40's Victory Ludwig for sale in NW US!
Cool1 Looks to be in great condition.
That's a very cool set of drums. I would love to have them, but I must agree about them being more of a collectable rather than a practical player kit.
If I wasn't in the middle of three other projects, I'd be all over that kit like ugly on an ape! Killer little kit. Piece of drum history for cheap.

So that just CANNOT be the original factory rim color right?. . It was probably the cream that was really banged up yeah??? Thoughts anyone?
Thanx Johnny boy
I was in Kelowna BC - a little road trip - a week ago and had a chance to check out John White's vintage collection - awesome. He's getting out of collecting and selling all his stuff. He has 8 or 9 kits for sale at a drum store in Calgary right now and 8 kits still at his home - along with tons of hardware, snare drums and hardware. He had a Gretsch 1942 Defender kit for sale - $1600. I took these photos but I resisted temptation to buy it.
The Ludwig drums are nice too.
he he . . I just realized that the front bass drum hoop has been put back upside down. The extra flat hoop panels on top of the front curved hoop are for the mini clamp on feet. Therefore they should be opposite the flat mounting rail for the tom and accessories. . definitely repaint.
Wow someone should get this set..A rare set to come by..They had it on C/l about a month ago for 1,000.00....Mikey
