Would You Sell Your Soul?

I'm currently playing my own devil. After quite a bit of study and practice i started building my own kit. From ground up, that is. The only parts i'll buy factory made are the tension screws. It will be 24/13/16 with a 15 x 6 snare. Superthin stave shells, only 5 mm. Low weight single point alumimium tube lugs, no flange alu hoops with clips. I'm making it from an old oak table.

My deal is: if it is going to sound better than my rogers big r (without snare) i'll sell the rogers.

My drums, 1965 Ludwig Champagne Hollywood, are like the girlfriend that never walked out or gave me crap...more like the friend that was always there and never asked for anything in return for a moment of spiritual reinforcement. Those drums have pulled me through the biggest 'downs' and elevated me to the highest 'ups' in my 65 years of life. I won't say there haven't been a few times when I've thought or been tempted to consider selling them, but I could never bring myself to do it no matter what the situation. Nope, there is nothing (not even the devil himself) that could break that bond. My drums and I are in this life together...and we'll leave it together....at least in my mind.

Cool thread, but you can't sell something to the devil that doesn't belong to you. You don't own your soul, so no sale. Need proof of ownership in order to make the deal stick. :p LoLoLoLo

BTW, I love the drumming on "Devil" song. Always have. Captivating. Love the song!

Probably a Ludwig blue vistalite bop kit with snare. I'd trade my Camcos for them.

Was even better live during the CDB MMR tour. 2 drummers, Fred Edwards and James Marshall. Still have the vinyl. Wore out the 8 track even with matchbook assistance. ;)
