This is a Super Ludwig snare that has a Leedy head, & Leedy throw, missing many old expensive parts , ( & possibly several extra holes). A nice old snare, but nowhere near worth $1300.

Overpriced, Swiss cheese, missing many essential parts...

much appeciated guys! what would it even be worth as a players drum? or not even worth tampering with?

This could be an excellent players drum, extra holes & all. The Leedy throw is not a great strainer, & the butt end is too high. This could be fixed. ( No real need to get all those original strainer parts). It would be nice to play a brass snare of this caliber, w/ a simple throw off system. (I hesitate to guess an appraisal w/ out seeing the condition of the hooks, & other condition issues, dents, stripped out lugs etc.,) If it fell into my hands, I might pay $250 + - .

I can get the extra holes plugged for you at a nominal cost...I would go as his as 400-500.00 as you can recoup some money on the Leedy strainer...Also remember that it's a 15" drum.
