Worst bearing edge ever?

hehehehe....this is gonna be fun. Remember to take your Valium before we start, and breath deeply and with a regular pattern. Boy, someone wasted a lot of glue, wonder if it was the new guy, noboby told him they don't use but a little here and there, we just let the hardware hold the wrap in place.

Again, if you have never seen or played one of these super thin shells, you will be amazed once it is complete. Any old head will sound good on this drum, it is all about resonance, just keep your eye on the prize. As for the finish, you are going to learn to hand lay gli....nevermind, we'll talk about that later.

Let me see the re-ring, I wanna see what we have to work with.

John, here's a pic of the ring. 1" 8 ply maple, I believe. Just cut about a week ago from the nice guys at Allegra Drum Co.

OK, here we GO!

1. Should I sand the interior before test fittng the ring? Yes. This will be the time to do it. Be careful at the edges. Put only as much effort into this as you feel necessary. Fitting the ring is not going to be easy if you try to rush it. Please don't force it in, you know, be gentle at forst....Have you tried to test fit yet?

In order to fit the ring, you will want to insert the ring in a horizontal fashion, not tring to make it go in by working it in, you will want to put it in 45* then start working it to level. Tell you what, grab your celly and give me a call. PM sent with #...

2. Should I try to repair/clean upKleening/sand the outside of the shell now or do that later?

Not at this time, you will want to wait until the ring is in place for the extra support.

I'm ready for the next step!

Here we are going to get to the insertion. You will need to take some very clear and precisely timed pixJumping2, I want everyone to see how this goes, afterall, they are watching to see if I can teach, since I can't "do"....Excited
