i found wooding acrylic drum set... but cant find any info bout them, cept sone old catalog, and that they are from italy. anyway has anyone played these acrylic wooding drums? are they value? guy is asking for $400.
wooding acrylic set
Wooding drums were built by an italian company Caldironi Meazzi. There are some catalogs here:http://www.drumarchive.com/Hollywood/
I came very close to grabbing a wooden Wooding last year, but the guy got cold feet at the last minute (sigh). I have played Hollywood Presidents, which are top notch drums, but never a wooding acrylic kit. I would pay $400 for them.

Hello,
to know the story of Wooding drums and more on italian drums and cymbals (Hollywood, Tamburo, UFIP, Tosco etc.) you can give a look to this book:

If they are the Cristalline acrylics, I would consider it for sure. What does the set consist of? Wooding were not, as some people consider a second line for Meazzi. They were a rebrand, possibly for a different market but had pretty much the same high end features as Hollywood's did------cast hoops, etc.

opinions are welcome :)
Yes, Wooding was a second brand of Meazzi (Hollywood was the first).
that kind of acrylic Wooding drums (with irregolar suface) sounded great
