Hi,

Just for our reference, on German ebay there's currently a Wooding floor tom for sale (not mine/ no personal interests in it).

Never seen such a 'broken ice' acryl surface before. Enjoy!

Ralf

NB: copyright: hope the seller is not displeased: I modified his pic a little bit for our reference.

Wow, where were those made?

Fibes made clear acrylic textured shells.

Not as textured/sculpted as that.

I saw the Fibes kit at Pro Drum LA.

Trey cool bought it.

Stan said they were extremely loud.

Wooding = made in Italy, if I'm correct.

@Fortissimo: it's surface reminded me very much of the following drumset:

(Attention: you can manufacture it by yourself!) Look here, please:

And here's the sound of it:

this is a Hollywood Wooding Cristalline, made by Caldironi/Meazzi. the drums came in clear(white), red ,orange and blue. there was an entire white kit on ebay a while back for sale. one of the kits offered, in the catalogues, was a 22" double bass unit with 8 concert toms ,from 6 1/2" -16" mounted in doublets on 4 stands around the bass drums. there was also an 18" floor tom. they date from the mid-70's.

the Wooding line seems to be mostly identical to Hollywood. By the time Wooding came along, they had abandoned some of there concepts and branched into other things ,like these Cristallines. Perhaps the name Wooding was brought forward , in order to identify a new direction for the company. I have examined Hollywood snares and own 2 Woodings and they all seem identical, as does the same model of Mod-Jolly. The hoops changed a little over time but , that's about it.
