Interesting Delmar is in CT. I may take a ride there someday and see how they produce these wraps and colors. Might bridge a few gaps for answers I have.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Delmar makes another wrap that I have seen in the dw lineup that is a dark red sparkle. I would call it Ruby Sparkle but I can't find that one anywhere either...dw made Neil Pearts set out of this wrap a few years ago when he 1st got the dw sponsorship if I remember correctly. Also the WMP I was referring to earlier is not the Vintage or aged wrap it's the bright white WMP.

WHOA!! Stop the presses!I was just googling* around with the "Dixieland" term and came across this pic: http://www.centerstagem.com/forum/gallery/image/402-6-lug-mid-60s-gretsch-dixieland-snare-restored-april-24-2010/Major props!! That's pretty fine... and I could spend the re-wrap $ on edges and snare beds, if needed.Whattya' think!*"googling", a variation on "chooglin'", with apologies to CCR!

That's Gary Weighill's drum (aka "Kona" here on VDF). He does wonderful work with his vintage Gretsch acquisitions and it's cool to see his collection grow.

That Rogers kit at Maxwells was recovered in antique white pearl. It's a gorgeous color. I'm thinking of using it for a rewrap, but the smaller chip pattern has made me hesitate. I don't know though--it's such a classy color!

I'm with you on this one...I wish they would make the large chip pattern wraps again...especially for black diamond pearl!
