WMP 60's Gretsch snare question

Loading...

Obtained a 60's Gretsch shell w/ slingerland hardware...spent 226.oo getting the drum into impeccable physical condition and playable shape including a new WMP wrap.....kept the original Gretsch holes in the shell...wasn't cost effective for me to find and put original Gretsch parts so I used the Slingerland parts that came w/ it. The Zoomatic strainer needed repair and one stick saver rim had to be straightened, bearing edges were done etc....I didn't put a badge on it. The drum sounds great and looks gorgeous but I have no use for it. Do you think I'd at least get my investment back if I put it up for sale? Is there a market for such a thing?

thanks for your opinions,

mike

Probably for the parts yes, you should get your money back... the badge (if it still has it) will sell as much as $150.

But with the cut edges and new wrap, it is pretty much a new snare drum with the wrong parts.
