Will This MIJ Price Madness Ever End

Apparently not. Missing the front bass drum hoop, with beat up heads, yet seller describes the set in glowing terms. Soap Box

There are definitely crazy prices for MIJ`s out there...Do these sellers ever want to sell them? In this case, the seller wants $1200 OBO and the bass drum reso head and hardware are missing!! I understand that a seller can ask for whatever price he wants, but, they need to be realistic in my opinion...

Cheers

OMG!! Yes, asking prices, especially by the ill-informed, for these sets are getting way out of control! There is another seller listing quite a few MIJ snare drums, each for $250. While they are all certainly in very nice condition, I find it strange at the price...yet, many are selling. I always maintain that condition is everything...BUT...with MIJ drums, if they have a more rare wrap, they can go up in price. Still, the vast majority of what I see for sale is nothing more than what you would find at a yard sale, with the seller gladly taking $5 to $10 for a snare drum and maybe $50 for 3pc set.

When will the madness end?!! Probably never!!!

As long as the majority of buyers don't bite at the crazy prices, these chuckle heads can list them as high as they want. If nothing else, it provided a little entertainment for those of us who know what they are really worth.

If people are now getting $300 for $120 sets, I’d say their strategy is working, and has been for a while

As of today, January 17, 2023, the drums are still up there for $1200. I guess the seller/clown hasn't figured things out yet.

What would you sell your Drum mate shell pack or your aqua glass kit for? $99? $150? probably not right? Why? Because they are worth more than that. I'm just saying.

Keep fixing them up...
