will a DW rail mount fit gretsch holes?

Loading...

i'm working on an early 70's gretsch kit that is drilled for a rail mount with four holes. since this will be a player's kit, i would like to upgrade the rail mount to a DW mount.

does anyone know if the DW mount will fit the spacing on a gretsch?

obviously there will be two extra holes, but i've already re-wrapped and covered them so it's not an issue.

the other option is to use the maxwell's rail mount, but i don't know if that one will fit either.

The Maxwell will fit the hole spacing on the Gretsch (if) the Gretsch used a two bolt rail to begin with. The Maxwell is built to be used as a retro-fit for the old two-bolt rails. The Maxwell's work great too. Holds the drum where you put it. No bad vibrations or movement while you play. It's a solid, good looking unit that does what it's supposed to do.

Too many great drums to list here!
