I haven't needed any parts from anyone on this site, but the information that I've gotten from all who have submitted is priceless!!

The people on here are great and I always look forward to checking what amazing tips have been left by others. Don't know where I would have gotten a quarter of the info I've received if it hadn't been for this site.

Thanks to all.

Heck, everyone's invited over for dinner!!!

Hey Jaye,

I did, I got 2 of them actually. The swiss cheese one and then another one that had just a couple of extra holes but all the parts. The swiss cheese drum didn't have all the parts but I have them all now thanks to some guys on here that had some stock. Both of them have been doweled now and one has been wrapped, I think the wrap for the second one should show today. I also got a floor tom (thanks Jeff).

I bought a snare a while back and posted pics of it. It was a 1960 slingy with a luddy keystone badge. Within a few hours of posting pics A pic was posted of a 1960 slingy student radio king aand I knew without a doubt what I had. Then i got some almost perfect lugs from a forum member and got the whole drum restored in no time.

Thank you guys. I needed that! lol Ther's another reason this site really rocks. When we are restoring drums we get all into it and go on a mission. Our wives, girlfriends, better halfs and ole ladies arent near as interested in the mission as we are. Is that not correct? My g/f is a little interested, but no one can communicate to us about our toys aka DRUMS better than this forum aka you guys. So we start a restoration, we look for parts and find them. Its so friggin cool! Women cant grasp why aquiring the excact part we are looking for is reason for celebration. So, we go here and share our missions. It's an incredible inspiritaion to restore a vintage drum to perfection. I Salute you guys,

Countless of you guys have taught me, informed me, listened to me, laughed at me ( im sure) and allowed me to vent my drum vitcories and failures.

Its a place I can go and get away from the rat race of business and the economy. THIS SITE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One more vote for THIS SITE ROCKS!

While I've lurked for years and only joined a bit ago, I've discovered a love and fascination with older tubs, and this site has had a lot to do with feeding my info-hungry brain. Thanks to all who have the know-how and the know-what, and are willing to share said knowledge/experience with the rest of us!
