Why do Remo Fiberskyn heads turn yellow?

Any one from Remo lurking about that can answer this question?

Not saying it's necessarily a good or a bad thing, just a fact of life. Why is that?

I use these heads exclusively for my 15" snare drum. I love these heads and they sound great. To answer your question, they already start off with a yellowish tone to them.flowers2

And I recently bought a new one that arrived white as the driven snow, it's already turning yellow... and no, I don't smoke ( maybe my dog smokes when I'm not home)

I wish they came in black.....oh well

Hey I just found an old Fiberskyn 2 13" stamped "Manny's NYC" I'm pretty sure it's a collectors item. It's probably 20 years old and still sounds fantastic, except it's yellow as banana pudding.

At any rate, even some of the new ones are yellowed as well...see..?
