Who's the maker of these bass drum claws?

Hello,

Together with a convolute, I've received eight of these claws (see attachment). Most probably they are not vintage, but what do I have here?

Thanks for an idea in advance,

Ralf

They look like vintage Pearl claws from mid to late 1970's.

They should have a nice sustained "ring" when dropped against each other. Good quality but designed so that the hoop fits snugly between the claw and the rolled over "eyelet" - some bass drum hoops can be problematic using them.

Star also used those on the Midwest Music or St. Louis Music distributed stuff in the US.
