Who recovers flesh hoops

Loading...

I have a bass drum from a Wurlitzer carousel organ from 1927

I need to know who can recover the flesh hoops for it. These hoops are just a small metal strap in a ring shape. Nothing fancy but the heads will take a beating with the playing of this organ. The link is the twin organ to the one I am restoring

Yes I know the trumpet pipes are slow speaking and it needs a few tweaks but you can get the idea of the drums.

Please let me know who is the best to do this work and can do it fairly quickly

Thanks,

Flesh hoops are the circular wooden forms that a calfskin is wrapped around in order to make vintage style drumheads. Are you asking for flesh hoops or are you asking for hoops/rims? *The term also applies to modern drumheads, as well. A modern flesh hoop is metal and has a synthetic material affixed to it in a generally-similar way.

Can you post a picture of the specific part you are referring to? Thanks

Cool orchestrion!

Where are you located? Do you have the hoops? What diameter?
