Those "Black Jack" drums are the ones I used to see at Lechmere Sales. Next to the Teisco Guitars...

Hello teverson-sr

Our fellow V.D.F. member Dan Boucher has also mentioned Lechmere sales

with regard to MIJ drum kits and guitars being offered there

I worked at the Warwick R.I. Lechmere location selling home electronics

in the early to mid 90's

by that time the company had changed hands a few times and our product line no longer included musical instruments

I had no idea they had ever sold drum sets until Dan mentioned Lechmere on an earlier thread

Jay apparently so

I would add also that I have seen at least two other forms of "Black Jack" badges

one being just a round foil sticker and another sort of football shaped and attached by two nails I can not recall the hardware on those sightings

so it may be likely that there are some Pearl made Black Jacks out there as well

These are my Star made Black Jacks

I have some identical save for being picked over orange sparkle shells also

I think I have a wrap that has the circle black jack sticker badge ( need to double check ) the wrap was covered in stickers so I just removed it. The drum was missing the hardware, so not 100% what it came with lug wise. I think one of my goals is going to be try and get photos of each badge variation per MIJ name. And then try and follow that with badges still on kits with original hardware. There is a light at the end of this tunnel. Though still a ways away, lol
