Bitte Sehr;-) here the pics!
Who knows something about the Sonor Series?
The single screw holding the butt end makes me think it`s a knob attached to a frame adjustable, is that right ?
The third pic shows that the seam was rolled before joining the shell. That means done by hand at their foundry and puts it in the fifties or earlier. The snare lever looks hand forged too !i I was expecting a cross bar but it don`t have one.
This drum is more hand made than machine. I`d like to see the strainer and butt up closer to see if it`s missing anything !i

One moment please! I go and make more pics;-)!!!
The snare is not one of them, that you carry around like a marching snare, thats for sure !
;-) some Pics :-) the knob by the butt end holds a little part with a srew on it, you can adjust the strenght of Snarewires with it!
ChristanB,
Turns out, I have seen this strainer, but in it`s complete form. It`s missing the cap in the front. It also doesn`t belong on this drum.
Here`s what I got from the teardrop guy !i

Do you have the flat somewhere on the crimps to allow for the strainer ?

HY Oddball,
I got this Snare really cheap(about 15$) but the Drum does not look that there would have been changed something over the years! When the strainer was changed, then it must be done years ago?
I also have no extra parts with it! But the Snare itself is definetly a Sonor, there are you sure?
The cover for that throw is HARD to find. If the shell has no flat in the crimps, it should be the earlier, like 20`s/30`s. The chances that the factory had a 20`s shell for thirty years and then put the newer strainer aren`t as good as the owner have`n it for thirty years and replaceing it with the current Sonor throw !i

Is it missing a lug/tuner assembly? Should there be six of them?
