Ya, I wound up buying them them for $250, it actually came with more gear than I thought. She was waiting for me in her truck full of the drums, cymbals, rack, hi-hat stand, pedal and even a drum throne.

I had a Whitehall 20, 12, 14 and snare about 20 years ago. It was something close to a blue onyx and it was a well built set. It might have been about as good a set of MIJ that was ever made. All drums were double lug, reinforcing rings at top and bottom, good snare throw, 16 lug bass and FT, 8 lug snare and 12 lug small tom. It was a very nice little kit. I think back then I got the whole setup for $150.

Ya, I agree they are well built and they sound pretty good to boot.
