One day I thought I'd make myself custom Amati bop kit... http://vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=17479
I sold that 18" FT/BD so I could buy these

Now I'm selling some of them to pay for THIS and NOW I really think it's a keeper!!
So, I have 6ply white oyster Amatis. 20"x14" BD, 12"x9" mounted tom, 16"x16" FT, 14"x5" matching snare, HH stand, straight cymbal stand, BD pedal, 15" hats and 20" ride. All original, excluding batter head on BD and a screw or two. Wrap and chrome are in absolutely stunning condition, they used to belong to hotel Imperial in Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad), the seller played them there back in 1972.
Altough they're not the oldest (probably best) series of Amatis, they look so good I just had to get them... for little more than 100 dollars!! There's some ply separation and I don't think the original heads and some hardware can live up to today's standards, but otherwise, they're wonderful.
Cymbals are typical Amatis, made of brass, clangy, good as beginner cymbals. They're stamped ČSR (Czechoslovak Republic), wich would date them before 1960 (in wich the state was renamed ČSSR, meaning Czechoslovak Socialistic Republic. Commies, who were at power from 1948, wanted to make an impression that we were closer to the marxist heaven on earth, but it had no economical basis, they just decided to say so.), but that seems unlikely to me, so I think they were just using the old stamp for a longer time. Knowing how the commies were touchy about this, it seems weird, but I just don't know.
Seller said he threw away the original snare stand "because it was ugly," but luckily, I happen to own one, altough not in so untouched original condition, so I'll get some more photos when I bring it home from rehearsal room.

Wrap looks great, the photo of the whole kit doesn't do it justice at all, so here's one close-up.

The tom has yellowed a bit as you can see comparing it to bass drum.
