White Marine Pearl Wrap Question

None of the available wraps will truly match any of the vintage ones. All the sellers get the same stuff, from the same place. Most of the sellers will send you samples for free. I'd contact Precision, Sam Barnards, Drum Supply House and all the others...but they all have the same stuff.

no wonder. I have been trying to find reproductions of the old sea green pearl wrap and the 3d moire wrap that camco used to make. Alas I was unsuccesful. If someone recreated those wraps they could make alot of money in my opinion.

Cheers.

There are three different methods for lightening drum wrap that I have seen with great success..

1. Chemicals

2. Wet Sanding

3. Razor Blade (this was done by a member on drumforum)

The question and debate is the clear coat that is applied after. That argument can only be answered in another 20 years..

Also, I mentioned on another post at the 2008 Chicago show I was talking with Andy and at Drum Supply.. He had a new product that was being shown for the first time at the show.

He pulled a board out with an unlimited number of color options and I remember the WMP had a bunch of different options and then he can match the Yellowed wrap to the board and make the wrap you want..

So, this was either a dream or I forgot exactly what we talked about, but it was a cool product.
