White Ludwig Vistalite drum value

Loading...

I see a couple on eBay. A nice 18" for $495, although that is big...and a little steep. There is also a 16" concert floor tom for $247. VGC, but not sure if you want a concert tom.

They don't seem to rare.

Exactly the comment I would expect from you leedy...very helpful

Thank you. And, for your information, the first vintage drum set that I bought when I decided to start the hobby was a Ludwig black and white non transparent vertical convict stripe set with drum sizes of 14x24, 9x13, 10x14, and 16x18. It sounded terrible. But, I sold them quickly to someone who really wanted them.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I used to have every pattern vistalite, plus a tivoli. My vertical stripe kit was a pro beat, looked great, but those shells were pretty compromised, being akin to barrels, didn't do anything for the sound, and you needed to be careful if you ever removed both heads.

I'm sure a white vistalite floor will pop up at some point. I'll keep an eye out.

I am going to sell them...have some other drums I need to pay off. Like I said, I got a good deal on them and figure I could make a little money on them. What do you think a fair price would be for them? And I'm not asking necessarily what you personally would pay, lol. I mean, how much for someone who is interested in them. I realize that some of the hardware is not original and it doesn't have a floor tom. Although, single drums (bass drums) go for $300 to $500 by themselves...and I realize that different colors are more sought after.

I hope that you can recoup the amount that you paid for them.

Thanks! Who knows I may end up keeping them if I can't sell them for much.. Time will tell! The last thing I need is another kit though..have around 15 kits currently . If I did keep it, I would probably sell one of the rack toms or part it out, lugs etc. to help pay for a floor tom. Then focus on finding a white floor tom that isn't insanely priced :)

Since I don't have a ton of money in these I would probably wait until a really good deal comes though. Thanks for the leads though!

Couldn't find any buyer for the complete 3 drums.

So.....I parted them out. I know alot of people have issues with parting out vintage drums, but I decided I needed to get my money back (which already I have) and still have 12 lugs, hoops and the kick drum shell leftover. I may have tried to complete the kit if I didn't already 15 other kits, lol
