Oh,Hands down CAMCOBowingBowingBowing Mikey
Which would you pick??
I've got the Ludwigs covered, already. I would choose the Rogers. Maybe if I get to pick my own ideal dimensions, then I'd probably choose a Gretsch with an 18" bass drum (Whatever the name for that kit was) -because they are worth the most. I always wanted a Gretsch set when I was a kid (based on looking at drum sets on albums and in magazines and catalogs, but I was from a rural area and they didn't carry Gretsch drums in the nearest music shop (30 miles away). All I could get were Ludwig and Rogers. The Ludwigs always sounded and felt the best, but I really thought the Rogers Swiv-O-Matic stuff looked the best.

Truthfully, I would take any of the Orange Sparkles, Club Date, Down Beat...orphans, I just like orange, or mean green, since they the most sought after sparklies. I really like the 20-12-14 config.

Gretsch. I already have nice Ludwig, Slingerland and Rogers kits.
Too late guys..I snuck the Camco's out the back door!
In between those 4 though...I think that I might choose Rogers.
I've own a Ludwig..had a Slingy, but never had a Rogers before..might be nice!
Slingerland. Very warm. Ludwig is not as warm and round. Rogers and Gretsch are just different animals altogether. I just love that Slingerland sound. When I finally get my Rogers kit finished, I reserve the right to change my mind. It's looking like it may be a winner.
I've got a Camco and Slingerland kit. Love them both but sound-wise the Slingerlands just come out on top, that much warmer and fuller.
Wouldn't sell either though!!

So you walk into a room and it has 4 sets of vintage drums in pristine condition....and you get to take one home with you....Do you take the set of Ludwig, Gretsch, Slingerland or Rogers??Just wondering what your favorite is.I'll take the Ludwig's please....
I'd take the most expensive (Gretsch), buy it low, flip it high and then go buy some vintage snare drums...
