Where to get missing parts?

Loading...

Here is a nice looking kit for a decent price. My concern is the missing parts, if I was to buy this how hard will it be tracking down the bottom hoops for this. I just purchased a Stewart kit that needs a bass drum hoop, rods and claws. I have not noticed too many mij parts on ebay, are they hard to get or does someone make reproductions?

Thank you!

Grab that kit! I'm in the Chicago area and I've been tempted but I just bought a snare alone for more than that! You know he'll take $100 for it.....

When I got a hold of an old Star kit, it had no rims and was missing half the lugs. The only positive was the wrap was excellent. I found the Slingy copy lugs on ebay but it was the tension rods that were holding things up...

I know its cheating, but I replaced all the swivel nuts in the lugs with current, common sized (7/32") threads with tension rods to match. Bought shiny new rims too.

Some might argue that now the kit is not factory original, but I'm not a stickler for that...it's finished and it's playable!
