Hello all. Although I'm a keyboard player, I collect vintage 1900 through 1945 German military drums. Unfortunately, a large number of these have split heads..or worse, someone has replaced the original heads with much later, synthetic skins. Can anyone tell me if 1.) split animal skin heads can be repaired and 2.) if there is a source anywhere for finding replacement vintage heads. Any help greatly appreciated!
