I have a preserial no-ink 18"----that had an edge nick-----that led to a crack---and was filed out. ALL done by the previous owner. It's about 2 1/4" in. I have the weight. (see Craigslist ads) 1587g

If interested I'll take pics and sound file

Also have preserial:

20" Ride no ink no crack 2325g VGC

18" SSS China bell hole malfunction chip-out sounds good. (Serial -year-1978)

19" no ink 2012g V-shaped wedge cut out Sounds great

14" Sound Edge 2/3 edge nicks led to fissures less than an inch no ink

14" top or bottom edge nicks led to fissure less than 1" no ink

14" top or bottom no ink Perfect

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
