once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I'm with Jazzbo on this one. Isn't he a valued member as well?

Gary posted a whiny one yesterday that suddenly disappeared after stating that it sure looks like he shill bids on his own auctions. Also had an experience with Gary on the snare he's asking about a while back - twice actually. 2nd time I pointed out possible issues, fading, etc, and all the sudden the snare was pulled off ebay. Months later, listed again and again and ...

Down in the hood the cats like to say "My bad," but Gary you point out how trustworthy you are and that you only sell the top $hit on ebay (at least you used to) but the fact is you're a little shady: so your bad. Your descriptions are horrendous, photos like a '50's p o r n film shot in a cave with really tan actors so as to carefully hide their flaws ... only you can't see any of what all the hollerin's about until, that is, there's a close-up and you wish you hadn't seen what you'd seen.

Thank god I did not buy anything from you because it wouldn't have been pretty.

Sounds like you're making a lot of friends with the way you go about doing business. Think you have some self-reflection to do,

Chris

Ok, let's change the name of the site to; The Acme Judgement Company!

What ever happened to;

"If you don't have something good to say, keep it to yourself."

"Judge not lest ye be judged."

"Remove the log from your own eye before pointing out the splinter in another."

How about; treating each other respectfully? Would some of you make the comments that you make if you were in a room full of people? How about if you were face to face with the target of your pointed words. If there was a room full of people watching and listening, would you still say it?

Well that's what this is, a room full of people! Voices carry. We can hear you. Some of what we're hearing is just ugly and reflects worse on you than it does on your intended victim.

Some of the remarks are really over the line. Hurtful, insulting comments.

Jazzbo - There are people in the world, who for reasons of their own, never quite mastered reading, or writing, or had much practice expressing themselves in front of a larger group of people. If let's say, Gary's posts do annoy you to the point where you just 'have to say something about it', instead of launching into a vitriolic, bile-spewing display of outrage, why didn't you pm Gary and simply ask him about it? Maybe the cat was dyslexic and had trouble reading and writing... maybe he had a stroke... maybe he just didn't pay attention at school... who knows? Aside from you, we all take Gary -as he is- it's -not our business- to sit in judgement of him, sound him out about his shortcomings, or tell him how he 'ought to be' living his life.

If Gary 'annoys' you so much, simply block him in your User Control Panel. You also might try, not reading his posts, or responding in his threads. By keeping your judgements and opinions of others out of the public discourse civility and peace is maintained. Get selfish and dump your own personal garbage and it fouls up the gears. Things just get ugly.

Check it out... If you have that prep school need to put somebody else down in order to feel good about yourself, then you've lost touch with your own human soul and you have way deeper problems than the people you are sitting in judgement of and brutally attacking verbally.

Gary is a good man. (If) you take the time to get to know him. You came off as a judgemental as$hole, you owe the man a public apology for the very public tongue-lashing you delivered. Unsolicited I might add. Nobody asked for your opinion about Gary.

Back to your corners. Keep it civil... there are other people here.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

There are alot of members on this forum and of course we`re not always going to agree on everything and that`s one of the reasons for forums in the first place. The VDF will have it`s share of discrepences like any other forum will have, but if we can`t forget at least try to forgive... We all share one thing in common which is the love of drumming and the sharing of vintage drum information and that`s what makes us drum brothers on here.I don`t know what`s going on between the two members here so i`m not going to stick my nose in and try to referee the situation, but we don`t want to lose any of our members here and that means jayhog and jazzbo.I`ve thoroughly enjoyed reading both of your posts over the time i`ve been here and i hope that will continue as we want you both to stay with us.Sooo...i wish my best to you guys in hopes that somehow, someway you`ll work this out and remain our drum brothers on this wonderful forum. In today`s world of turmoil i wish you both peace...

You are 100% right John. I sure wish i was in that room with these guys, i'd have no problem telling them face to face.

Been dealing with this same thing at work, people judging, thinking they are better and being two faced and hipocrits. I Hate it! and i'm tired of it! arnt we suppose to treat people the way we would want to be treated?

lets just all be nice now and get along. ok i'm done now.

From jaghog

I have been diagnose with Louis bodydes disease runs in the family my mom has it and now I do that's why I'm selling as time goes by one day I won't even know what a drumstick is let alone Ludwig God bless

I'm extremely sorry to hear that. My thoughts will be with you. I always like the stream of consciousness style of comments you post, it works with the all lower case "jaghog" name and conjures up a character that frankly puts a smile on my face. Variety being the spice of life and all that...

You should probably be meticulous online for your own sake, but the drum seems sweet for the price.
