Valid point, Kevin!Eye Ball
Any kit that can actually make Ringo look "large" must have been purchased at Toys 'R Us!Laughing H
The Magical Mystery Tour album was the beginning of Beatles songs that the Beatles couldn't play. Good luck playing that song on stage and having it sound anything like the recording.
This video is kind of representative of that, it seemed like they just decided to goof on it rather that trying to mime it.
Anybody remember the comedy duo Allen and Rossi? Wikipedia says that they were on three of the four Ed Sullivan episodes on which The Beatles appeared.
For how visible they were in the 60's it's amazing how they vanished right off the map. Them and Joey Heatherton.

Were they contractually bound by Fruit Loops or Life Savers? Laughing H Just wondering.
This video will serve as my closing arguement on the Beatles. The prosecution rests......

Did you guys notice at the 1:20 mark, Ringo is playing a full sized kit. Weird.
Having lived in those dim dark days. I'm pretty sure that they could have done just about anything and sold about a gazillion records.
Their stuff was always full of messages to their fans. This is no different. And they always clowned about whenever possible it seems.
And, ever since the death threats on the '66 (think it was '66) tour, they vowed never to tour again. Frankly, I think they were genius walking.
And yes, I still have every one of their records in my collection.
I remember reading in another post here on this forum about when dancing ceased and the shows, like this one began. My own observation is if you're playing in clubs, you get tons more folks showing up if you can play dance tunes. This was the beginning of the end of that period. But then, by this time, if they would have continued touring, nobody would have shown up to dance anyway.
I'm glad too have been around then. Their are musicians in the pop/rock genre with far more 'speed' and 'style' nowadays. But not creativity.
