Both of those trademark stamps fit the Type 2 style as far as I can see. They match on every attribute I usually test for. Is there something specific which you think looks like an attribute of the Type 1 trademark?

The year I've given for these is 1949, but that is subject to the usual uncertainty regarding exact years. The year 1949 fits with what little evidence we have from catalogs, price lists (which can be matched with prices written on the underside of cymbals in grease pencil), and first year of purchase recall. It is also the year Bill Hartrick suggested at one time although I believe he may have shifted it a year since then. I don't know what his evidence was for that change. Basically we have evidence the stamp was in use by 1949, but we don't have a specific first year of use and last year of use in the Zildjian factory.
Here is a link to one which appeared on VDF in 2014 and it clearly has the same type 2 Trans Stamp trademark. Bill Maley posted a copy of the 1949 WFL catalog showing it in original context.

This isn't the only Trans Stamp Tam Tam (aka gongs) to appear. The Tam Tams first appear in the 1949 catalog, and there are two with Trans type 2 in my records. Then there are 5 with the late 50s Small Stamp. I can't say whether the gap in between (no T3, T4, and Large Stamps) was because they didn't make any, or because they didn't use those particular die stamps on ones they did make, or we just haven't seen any because they are relatively rare.
