What Would You Do??

I found this 60's Ludwig Hollywood set that has been painted inside and out with blue car paint. The original color was silver sparkle.

I still need to talk the guy into selling it but if I do, what should I be willing to pay? Also, if I do buy this set what methods would you suggest to get the paint off.

Any help is good help!

Thanks ahead of time

Recently I've bought an old STAR bass drum which was painted

in red with an aerosol can OVER the old wrap.

I have removed the paint with an eccentric action machine and

a fine sanding disc (graining 400). Don't use an orbital sander

with that rectangular plane: because it doesn't transport the

particle away from their places, the surface becomes hot.

For sure, you have to be careful ... It took me approx. one hour

of work - but I succeeded.

Afterwards you can polish the surface of the wrap again.

I typed in "removing paint from wrap" in the search link and found some interesting stuff. I'll be needing it later this week. Wouldn't have a clue about a price.

Peace
