What vintage yamaha is this ?

Found these drums..Can all you Yamaha experts can hone in and tell me exactly what these are ?

Looks like vintage Tour Series ? But i'm not sure..

Hmmmm? They look pretty nice I tried enlarging the pic but it just got fuzzy

I thought most of the 80s Yamaha kits had the long lug casings

But on the other hand the ball mounts do look like the older style

Nice gear for the nickel Canadian

Yeah your referring to the Recording Custom series, which was their flagship at the time..I'm not a Yamaha expert, but on further inspection and research, they're looking like the Tour series, which i think was the recording custom series predecessor..

I guess I'm too late- pics are down now?

Could be 9000 series, which were RC's daddy. Other lines of that late 70's era were 8000 and 7000 I believe. They all used the short "tail light" lugs like my D-20 kit.

The full length "high tension" lugs started in 80 or so and the names changed to RC for 9000; Tour custom for 8000; and I'm not sure what the 7000's became.

I'm pretty sure anyway...
