What the heck are these? Made in Japan Badges

Loading...

I really need some help. Just got this kit for a great deal. What in the world is it? I've been told maybe Apollo or something like that.

The badges say "Made in Japan" They are Blue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems that someone had taken away the wrap and lacquered it in blue.

Is the second rack tom still existing? Because there's a curious thing with the 'dead' 'cymbal mount' on the bass drum. It appears that a tom bracket (perhaps from the other rack tom?) has been used to cover the holes of a previous genuine cymbal mount?

Hey,That other tom mount cymbal mount thing on the bass drum Ralf, is a Cymbal mount its a Star, if you dont have the reat of the cymbal mount it is a very hard thing to fine its in two pieces one piece fits on the mount and goes to the right of the shell, then the other piece the cymbal tube goes on to that and the cymbal sets out the the right on the bass drum over the other mounted tom...Mikey

Not really sure of what you mean with that, Mikey ...Hmmmm

Do you have a pic of such a complete cymbal mount?

I only know those parts as per attachment (or quite similar) - looking totally different.

I have the same cymbal mount on my Star kit but incomplete as well. Here's a link to a catalog pic with one on a single rack tom set up. http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/anniversary/expansion.php?cat_id=8&now=9

Thank you. I learn every day something new ...

Guess that this version must be extremely rare.

Thanks everyone for the great info. Fayray, that catalog link is perfect. It actually looks most like the '65 version. I am also confused by my badges (attached). Don't seem to match the catalogs.
