What snare do i have

hi there,

since a couple of years i play a slingerland black diamond pearl snare drum.

on the inside is a stamp which reads "May 1963"

The serial Number is:62810 and ist has a Niles, Illinois Badge.

can someone tell me more?

Nope.....

We need the number of lugs, shell type, strainer type. A

Jumping2 photo or two would answer most of that

oh, well, of course (were was my head?)

It is a 14x5 Shell with 8 lugs

it has the "zoomatic" strainer .

it looks a lot like the "artist model"

in fact i am pretty sure that this is mine.

two more questions:

how does the "radio king" differ

and what is it worth approx. ( its in near mint condition only some pittings/pimples on the chrome parts)

These are in the $200 +/- range for your finish and more for a rare finish.

The Radio King name usually was a single ply drum and used during different years

of Slingerland History.

Your snare is probably a 3-ply drum.
