Hi All

Wondering if anyone can tell me what metal Rogers made the Superten snare drum from??? Also what is the ballpark asking price for these drums???

Thanks

The Rogers SuperTen was ALWAYS a COS shell... chrome over steel. Price is a little trickier as there are TWO differently badged SuperTens. The first/early models have a Dynasonic type oval badge that say SuperTen with a serial number... this is the model that will generally bring a higher amount, both asking/selling. Later SuperTens have the "Big R" badge and tend to always sell for less, although it is EXACTLY the same drum. The SuperTen debuted in 1973 with the oval badge, and by 1976 it featured the "Big R'". I have an early 1973 model. SuperTens are excellent playing/sounding drums. Kind of "sleepers" as a lot of times they can be picked up for not too much outlay in the way of cash.
