Hey guys,

Got an old Slingerland set passed down from an uncle and want to find out the 5w’s of it, and of course the value. Badge number 15136 (toms) and 44718 (snare). 5 piece pearl kit. I can attach photos if needed.

Thanks, Rick

Hi Rick! Yes, we need to see pictures. Concerning the badges, are they Black/Brass or Black/Silver?

What does the Pearl drum set have to do with the Slingerland drums?

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

It’s pearl in color, not a pearl drum set. The badges are oval, silver and black in color. As soon as I get home to my computer, I’ll load pictures. Thank you!

Thanks for clarifying what you meant. This is a prime example of why I have had an intense dislike for the Pearl brand. That company co-opted a perfectly good descriptive word that had been used for many decades to identify drum wrap.

That's what I figured, too! Still, pictures really help.

Agreed. It is not a good idea to date drums by serial numbers alone. All the attributes should be considered.
