What make is this snare stand?

Loading...

Need help identifying this snare stand. Not sure about the make or age. Some internet browsing leads me to believe it is either a vintage Hamilton, or a later MIJ copy. Any ideas? It's very flimsy and folds up like those old wire music stands. I use it just for display purposes. Appreciate any help.

I had a very similar one in 1959. It came with my first snare drum, an inexpensive gold sparkle MIJ no name snare. Note that, except for the basket, the stand is very reminiscent of a very basic and inexpensive folding music stand.

I'm starting to believe that this is a 50's or 60's MIJ copy of a 30's Hamilton stand. If it were a genuine Hamilton, it should have had the Hamilton name on it somewhere. So instead of using it to display an old Leedy snare, I'll use it to display my ten-lug Majestic snare.

Any additional info would be appreciated.
