I have two of these, I assume they are for keeping the kick drum from moving, and I do have that problem. I just cant see how they clamp on to the drum. I must be missing another part or something. I would like to use these if I can, any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Jeff - it's a kick-stop that goes at the bottom of the front hoop. Looks like you're missing the base plate that attaches it to the hoop.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Glad to hear you did not take that personally, it was intended to be funny.

Thank you, now I can look for the rest of the parts. I have a small tool box with a bunch of weird brackets and stuff but I wasn't sure if they had anything to do with these spikes. I hop I can find the remaining parts, they look like the would work very good.

Thanks again!

Thank you!

Hey Jeff,

Check out vintage Beatles photos. Ringo used one of these on his bass drum in the 60's (I'm not sure if Dennis did, though), and you can see what it looks like 'on the job'.

MarkE, thank you for the advice. I looked in my box of stuff, no such luck on finding the other part. I guess we will call it a boat anchor now, for a very small boat that is.

Thank you!
