Daddy's was a strange place. One branch would have something for a lot of money and the other the same thing for almost nothing - referring to used gear. Guitar Center basically wiped them out in our region.

I was in a southern NH branch one day looking around and the drum guy took me into the back storage room to show me a 60's Ludwig oyster black 22, 13, 16. I thought he was going to offer me a nice deal on it and it would have been my first chance to own one. Then he said they were holding it for Joey Kramer. I said, "What, Joey can find and afford a dozen of these? Give me a break. He politely declined. The fix was already in. I have to wonder if Kramer did actually get it and whether or not he kept it.
